This month I was gifted a 16:10 Samsung Business IPS with 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Didn't have a new one for like 5 years.

I'm so pleased with it! All vendors really have come a long way with monitors, tech progress is amazing in this regard, also less bad plastics and more quality materials on them.

Gifted? That's awesome! 

Yeah, instead of surprise gifts, we have a nice little routine where we ask each other 'what do you need' when birthdays are approaching...and then going to look together, online or retail traditional, sometimes both. 

By the way, these days most brand phones are a lot more expensive than decent monitors!
