It was actually very hard to get decent pictures of NYC because everything was built so high that there was always something in the way. You couldn't really capture the whole picture very well.
I took about 1000 pictures between the two cities, and I kept maybe 100 of them. The only reason I didn't upload more was because photobucket was taking forever.

Nice photos, especially the light, I see you do have some skill in adjusting the focus and light. I like photography too, but not that professional, just capture beautiful scenes when I see. The place in the photos look quite similar to the places in Finland, I wonder if you are also in Nordic somewhere?

I really like the last one. Keep doing this. Hopefully you'll get a better camera soon.

Extremely high quality and awesome pics Lucky you went to NYC when it was so clear, when I went it was all foggy and raining.

Awesome pictures, man. Those were taken with a 2MP camera? Wow! It is more than impressive. You have the skills of a true photographer.

I'm a bit saddened by the lack of as good of a camera on my new phone. It doesn't capture detail as well, but I'd like to get back into it. This is my (less than great) attempt at getting back into it with some basic picasa contrast editing (and yes, picasa runs great on linux via wine, once you find the download file that is. )
(click for full size) I plan on getting back into it more in the future. I have some good ones to upload, lately have been too busy to dig them up. Some more.
Not at the top of my game lately. I'm hoping to get back into it a bit more soon once my job situation is sorted out.

Those are the more pleasant parts of the city. The funny thing about photography is that you can take a nice picture, but facing the other way, the city doesn't look quite so nice. Overall it's not a bad city though. Not this part, at least. Thanks for the comments. |
